Thai Sweet Chili Sauce Substitute
No Thai sweet chili sauce on hand? You can mix 3 parts honey to 1 part
hot sauce (Sriracha) for a decent substitute of the popular Asian condiment.
Instructions
Cook pasta in a pot of boiling
salted water according to package
directions; drain.
Toss shrimp with 2 tsp. garlic,
paprika, and 1 tsp. black pepper.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high.
Add shrimp and cook
until pink and opaque, stirring
occasionally, about 5 minutes;
transfer to a plate.
Whisk together cream,
mayonnaise, chili sauce, ginger,
zest, Sriracha, remaining 1 tsp.
black pepper, and pepper flakes
in same skillet over medium heat
to combine; heat to a boil. Reduce
heat to low; simmer sauce until
slightly thickened. Stir in lime juice.
Toss in pasta, shrimp, and cilantro;
top servings with peanuts and
scallions.
