Watercress is native to Asia (and
Europe) so it’s not surprising to
find it throughout Asian recipes.
Instructions
Heat oil in a saucepan over
medium-high; add shallots,
sauté until softened, 3 minutes.
Stir in garlic and ginger; sauté
until softened, 3 minutes.
Add pork and cook, stirring to
break up pork, until browned,
5 minutes; season with salt and
pepper. Transfer pork mixture to
a bowl; discard drippings. Return
pork mixture to saucepan.
Add broth and fish sauce; bring
to a boil. Stir in watercress until
wilted; simmer 5 minutes. Stir in
lime juice before serving.
